So, you’ve just rented a VR gaming cart and have some questions? No problem! We’ve posted answers to some of our common questions below:
1. Plug the cart into an outlet using the cable on the backside. Turn on the PlayStation, and the monitor.
2. Plug the VR Headset into the “processing unit” on top of the PlayStation. The HDMI plugs are keyed so it’s not possible to plug them in incorrectly.
3. Plug the headphones into the bottom of the VR Headset. You will find the audio plug near the VR Headset cable. The volume for the VR Player is found on the bottom of the VR Headset.
4. Turn on the VR Headset.
5. The VR Headset band size can be tightened to perfection, or unlocked for expansion using the rotary dial and button on the back. Make sure to unlock the headset before removing it from your head.
If you’re having troubles connecting any controllers to the unit:
First, make sure it is charged, you will find a charging USB cable included with the unit. Any similar USB cable can also be used.
Next, make sure you do not already have 2 controllers connected; a profile can only have 2 controllers connected to it at a time.
Examples: 2 Motion Controllers OR 1 Motion Controller and 1 Regular controller.
How to Solve:
Ensure you turn off the extra controller so only 2 are connected at one time. Hold the “PlayStation Button” on the controller you’d like to disconnect; navigate to Power, then Devices. Choose log out of PS4 to turn off the device.
Resetting the console and starting with only the needed controllers is also an option.
To re-align the VR view; Stand perfectly still facing directly ahead in the desired playing position. – If using motion controllers, press and hold the button labeled “Select”, on the side of the controller, for about 3 seconds.
If using the regular controller, press and hold the Touch Pad on the controller for about 3 seconds.
Your screen and calibration will now be reset for the new user.
You will find a charging USB cable included with the unit. Any similar USB cable can also be used.
Plug the “micro USB” connector into the controller; Bottom of the motion controllers, Top of the Regular controllers.
Total charge time from 0 to 100% is about 20 minutes.
IMPORTANT** Plug the other end of the USB cable into the front of the PlayStation. Other USB charging devices may not properly charge your controllers.
With the wand in hand, using the trigger on the back; Mimic the action of reaching out, grabbing the menu (pressing the trigger), and sliding the menu left and right. Remember to let go of the menu (release the trigger)! Select an item in the menu with the large “Thumb Button”.
A couple of our VR Cart include a select few titles with hard copy discs. If your game won’t start and is asking for a disc, you will find your discs inside the “Disc Binder” in your cart. Please remember to eject any discs prior to the end of your rental!
Also, please be aware, if your cart did not come with a games binder and a game will not start, sometimes people may use their own personal discs to install games we do not currently offer. While we try to delete these as we find them, there is the possibility that we’ve missed newly installed titles. These games would not work, nor would we have the discs for them.
